What to do if You Receive an IRS Notice

Do Not Panic!! Most of these letters can be dealt with simply and painlessly.

Each letter is for a specific time period and could be to:

  • Request payment of taxes
  • Notify you of a change in your account
  • Request additional information

If you agree with the notice, comply with the notice requirements and please send us a copy for our records.
If you are confused or disagree with the notice send us a copy by email, fax, or mail advising us to help you. We will take the necessary actions, keeping you updated and informed as we progress.

Be sure to keep any correspondence with the IRS in your records, this includes IRS agent names and dates.
